Military 1911a1 markings5/3/2023 Fixed sights, with the two-line Syracuse address on the slide, "FJA" inspected frame, stamped trigger, thin hammer, long grip safety, arched serrated mainspring housing, reinforced Keyes Fiber grips, "S" marked full blue magazine and a High Standard "HS" barrel. As the Mexican Army was equipped with Colt-purchased Government Model 45s, the 1911A1 would have fit into their tables of equipment with near zero adjustment. 5th Air Force in the Pacific, engaging in 90 combat missions during the course of the liberation of the Philippines. While not equipped to the same extent as the European Allies and the Soviet Union, Mexico received several million dollars in Lend-Lease loans, in particular in the form of training and equipment for the Mexican Air Force, which fielded the 201st Fighter Squadron as a component of the U.S. The slide is numbered and matching to the frame, and pistol has all correct inspector markings. While not documented, the Mexican government was one of the recipients of Lend-Lease issue hardware during World War II. 10/17/18 - This is an all original and matching Colt M1911A1 from 1943. Manufactured in 1944, the overall markings and features are nearly standard for the Remington-Rand 1911A1 with one exception the right side of the slide is marked "EJERCITO MEXICANO", the traditional marking found on Mexican Army equipment.
